BMA Scotland's Activists and Reps Bootcamp is an in-person training programme designed to develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills of BMA activists and reps across Scotland.

 

Through a mix of interactive sessions, group work, and real-world case studies, we’ll explore what drives collective action - drawing on John Kelly’s mobilisation theory - and examine how power, leadership, and organisation are central to building effective workplace campaigns.

 

Delegates will share ideas, build networks, and sharpen the tools needed to influence and lead change.

 

Choose the option that works for you:

Option 1: Weekday Bootcamp (Thursday 2 – Friday 3 October 2025)

  • Day 1 will include a workshop-based programme and attendance at the Scottish LNC Forum, providing insight into national structures and strategy

  • Day 2 will offer a full day of skills-based sessions and peer learning

  • Optional: Informal group dinner and networking on the Thursday evening

Option 2: Weekend Bootcamp (Saturday 18 – Sunday 19 October 2025)

  • Two days of hands-on learning, practical exercises, and campaign planning

  • Optional: Informal group dinner and networking on the Saturday evening

 

Full timings and a detailed agenda will be shared nearer the time, but participants should plan to attend for the full duration across both days.

 

Travel and accommodation costs will be met by BMA Scotland.
